Types of Submissions
An aim of this conference is to foster constructive exploration of ideas and interdisciplinary collaboration. Accordingly, we welcome contributions from all who see a place for their work and concerns within our theme: researchers, scientists, educators, artists, performers, philosophers, innovators, learners, storytellers, professionals, enthusiasts.
Submissions for 10 minute presentations, interactive sessions and workshops closed February 3rd, 2019.

•[CLOSED]Presentations (10 min.): A presentation, performance or other format, ten minutes in duration. Each presenter will also participate in a brief moderator-led discussion panel at the end of the presentation session.
•[CLOSED]Interactive Sessions (45 or 90 min.): An interactive presentation, performance, panel, workshop or other format with an interactive component, lasting forty-five or ninety minutes in duration.
•[CLOSED]Pre-conference Professional Development Workshops (1.5-3 hours): An interactive format lasting one to three hours in duration, with professional development objectives for the participants.
•[CLOSED]Poster or Art Installation (Share Fair): A poster, installation, or other alternative format suitable for concurrent presentations in a shared space. We encourage (but do not require) creative use of the allotted time and space, and are happy to consider proposals for nontraditional presentations.
•[CLOSED]Lightning Talk (Share Fair): A five-minute lightning talk with a liberating constraint (you provide 20 slides, which will auto-advance at a rate of 15 seconds each during the talk).
•[CLOSED]Performance (Share Fair): A short (3-5 min.) performance (e.g. dance, poem, skit, reading) suitable for concurrent presentations in a shared space. We encourage (but do not require) creative use of the allotted time and space, and are happy to consider proposals for nontraditional presentations.
•[CLOSED]Other: If you have a format that does not fit these categories, please contact the organizers with a brief description of your desired format at email@example.com, and we will consider your request.
Submission Format and Instructions
Please complete our submission form (CLOSED). You will be asked to provide a submission proposal (500-1000 characters), a submission description (less than 300 characters), and a short biography of each presenter (less than 300 characters).
Proposals for interactive presentations should describe the session’s interactive content.
Proposals for Professional Development Workshops should clearly state the professional development objectives of the session, describe how these objectives will be met, as well as describe the session’s interactive content.

Policy Regarding Human Subject Research at CESTEMER
As a unique and emergent conference involving arts, education and inquiry, CESTEMER welcomes its community to engage in reasonable and ethical research and assessment projects concerning their own submissions, the conference community, and/or the conference itself.
Participants are encouraged to contact their own institutions’ IRB representatives early about appropriate approval for inquiry involving human subjects. The details of approval vary by institutions, but they are sometimes lengthy and generally must be completed in advance of data collection.
Please notify the Chair of the conference of any research activities involving CESTEMER so we may ensure that they are conducted in a manner consistent with the spirit of the event. We appreciate notification of any eventual results, outcomes, and/or publications.
